I started collaging at the age of 17 as a way to express the unsettling and vulgar parts of our society. Over time I changed my style of art into surrealism while keeping it unsettling and vulgar. Around the time of this, I endured the loss of my grandparents. I was grieving along with my personal losses, with chronic health problems. At that time I started to nose dive back into using opiates and benzos. Time went on and as I started to heal, recover and grow again. I used my art as a coping mechanism. I use collaging as a way to still show the vulgarity of the world. However, I also use my art to express my inner turmoil and grief. The pieces I am presenting are a journey of inner healing and coping.
